Born and brought up in Australia, Amanda moved to Wiltshire in 1990. She began work as a textile conservation technician, moving on to become a buying consultant for the new visitor centre at Yorkshire Sculpture Park and also working with English Heritage as a retail consultant. Amanda was a buyer for the Natural Collection (Green Dot Guides), sourcing and selecting their range of ethically-sound products.
Travel has always been a passion and it’s been a pleasure to incorporate this interest into her working life. In between running Portfolio Art Tours and a busy family life, Amanda still finds time to appreciate and enjoy contemporary art. She and her husband are currently extending and enhancing their Somerset village home.
